Guntur Talkies is an Indian Telugu language film directed by Praveen Sattaru. Produced by M. Raaj Kumar, M. Rajsree and M. SaiRaaj Pavan, the film stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Rashmi Gautam, Shraddha Das and Naresh in lead roles. The film has been in buzz among Telugu audience because of the Director. Praveen Sattaru, who directed Guntur Talkies, also directed “Chandamama Kathalu”, a simple movie that won him National Award. So, as Guntur Talkies is his next breakthrough movie, the expectations are quite high on this cinematic art. Guntur talkies falls under the genre of Confusion comedy. The recent movie from Telugu Industry belonging to that genre was Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha and it went on to make big bucks and good reviews. Guntur Talkies also has some crime and Romance elements in the movie.
So, far the promotional campaign for the movie only focused on some Hot scenes and Songs between Siddhu and Rashmi in “Nee Sontham” song, but nothing much more than that. The Trailers have given the idea of the movie and what to expect from it.
Hari (Siddhu) is an 25 year old son to 40 year old Giri (Naresh). Both are small time thieves that make living on stealing small items from various leads. Rashmi Gautam plays Suvarna and Shraddha Das plays a Tom boy role. Mahesh Manjrekar plays the baddie in the movie. As the movie is confusion comedy, at some point Hari and Giri get caught in a big game that involves many Villains along with Police investigations. Shraddha das also becomes a part of the Crime and Woos Siddhu to bed him. All the other storylines come to an end in the climax where the real story is revealed in a sequences of Comedy.
